Using subject matter expertise from a wide body of code consultants, BMI is working collaboratively to create the curriculum, lessons, quizzes, and tests for 11 online energy code courses. Working from lessons learned in the course of over 900 face-to-face training sessions, BMI distilled the code messages into discrete usable bites viewable online.

This online training program has an underlying LMS designed and built by BMI for NYSERDA. Designed to accept user-friendly SCORM conforming Shareable Content Objects (SCO/s) from both Articulate and Adobe Presenter authoring tools, content is easily authored and uploaded to the LMS. In addition, the LMS also has a user friendly registration system developed to allow disparate groups to set up registration for over 1,800 on-site programs, track the attendees by providing a check-in and check-out bar code system, and dynamic accreditation updating system that transmits CEU credits between accrediting agencies including NYSDOS – Building Codes, LEED, Realtors, AIA, and many others.
