When the State of Illinois enacted the new Illinois Energy Conservation Code for Commercial Buildings, they needed a way to help educate the design, construction and regulatory communities throughout Illinois about the new requirements. This site, developed by Building Media, inc. for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), features 18 video presentations on a number of topics, including an overview of the code changes; a demonstration of COMcheck, a code compliance software program; building science and indoor air quality. The site also provides users with information on how the new energy conservation code will affect Illinois' buildings in the future.
