| Supress Sound-Engineered Drywall panels use drywall, layered and laminated with a proprietary substance to improve its acoustical properties. Installers may apply panels directly to existing wood or steel framing, or over the top of existing walls.
Suppress is manufactured in thicknesses ranging from ½-inch to 1-inch, and in 4-foot by 8-foot panels (larger panel sizes are available). Panels meet ASTM fire-rated assembly requirements. Installers may cut Suppress panels with a standard utility knife and fasten them with normal drywall screws. This eliminates the need for special tools and expertise required to install other acoustical panels. |
