The concept of green is growing, and LBM Journal and BMI are working together to help the building industry learn more about what 'green' means. The Certified Green Dealer™ Program is a national, online distance learning program sponsored by LBM Journal that helps lumber and building material dealers and distributors learn about green building techniques and products. The program provides a broad-based overview of good green building, and to educate dealers and staff on how to recommend green product choices to their builder/contractor customers.

The Certified Green Dealer™ Program includes courses on mold, insulation, roofing, windows, cladding and others. Participants learn about building basics as well as green product choices that enhance energy performance and reduce moisture problems in structures. Successful course participants will be able to brand themselves as Certified Green Dealers™.
